Jane Canfield

Biography

Jane Canfield is a New Zealand born painter, known for her simplified subject matter and short brush strokes. Employing hushed tonal explorations her works capture the landscape’s essence with a quiet familiarity and humble contemplation. 

Canfield relocated to begin her creative pursuits at Graphic Design College, Sydney 1984. As her love of drawing and linocuts ensued throughout her life in 2004 she became a full time artist.Canfield has received accolades for her paintings and drawings, exhibiting in commercial galleries and regional galleries throughout Australia.
